You Anoint Me

“You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.”

The practice of anointing people with oil began in the eastern part of the world. Weary travelers would apply oil on their head and arms to refresh themselves. Shepherds would place oil on sheep to repel insects.

Oil in the bible represents the Holy Spirit. We have been graced in abundance through God’s spirit to succeed and accomplish all God has given us to pursue.

He has given us comfort.

Our cup is overflowing.
